O Teatro Duse foi inaugurado na casa do teatr\u00f3logo Paschoal Carlos Magno, em 1952. Desta casa, prestigiada dentro e fora do Brasil, foram lan\u00e7ados atores, diretores, cen\u00f3grafos, figurinistas, t\u00e9cnicos e autores. O \u00fanico teatro-laborat\u00f3rio do Brasil, no entanto, foi fechado em 1957. Em 19 de dezembro de 2005 o Minist\u00e9rio da Cultura e a Funarte reabrem a Casa Funarte Paschoal Carlos Magno e o Teatro Funarte Duse.<\/p>\n

Em 19 de setembro de 2006, o Centro de Artes C\u00eanicas da Funarte inaugurou a exposi\u00e7\u00e3o Centen\u00e1rio Paschoal Carlos Magno 1906\/2006 , na Sala Mem\u00f3ria Alo\u00edsio Magalh\u00e3es, no Teatro Glauce Rocha. O curador desta mostra, Martinho de Carvalho, destacou que \u00e9 dif\u00edcil traduzir, em poucas palavras, o legado deste grande artista.<\/p>\n
